Brooklyn duo TOLEDO have shared a dreamy new ballad, “David,” alongside a B-side alternative version of their Jockeys of Love track, “Sunday Funday.”
The new track comes packed with compressed acoustic guitar lines and stunning banjo moments, all beneath some dreamy reverb. Atop the captivating instrumental lines, TOLEDO sing of navigating family trauma.
“‘David’ was writtin for my younger brother,” TOLEDO’s Jordan Dunn-Pilz explains of the track. “As siblings we share a lot of the same emotional baggage, but we process things differently as individuals. The song came out of a desire for healing in spite of those differences.”
