Listen: Chromeo “Sexy Socialite”

Chromeo gives another taste of their upcoming White Woman

Montreal-turned-NYC electrofunk duo Chromeo are gearing up to release their fourth album. White Women is the follow-up to 2010’s Business Casual and will feature Solange, Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend), Chaz Bundick (Toro Y Moi), Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem), and more.

According to Rolling Stone, White Women explores what they’re dubbing as “Larry David funk” – “a combination of sexy, funky, macho music with neurotically love-torn lyrics,” as singer/guitarist David Macklovitch puts it. While they’ve always taken a lighthearted approach to their music, Macklovitch says the lyrics on the new album are some of the funniest he’s ever written. The duo hopes to engage listeners on a deeper level as well.

The release date for White Women is not yet specified.

Chromeo already shared the first tease of the album, “Over Your Shoulder”. The most recent single “Sexy Socialite” features former LCD Soundsystem drummer Pat Mahoney. Give it a spin below:
