Listen: Dan Mangan releases ‘A Tragic Turn Of Events (2008 Demo),’ announces 10th anniversary deluxe reissue of ‘Nice, Nice, Very Nice’

The deluxe reissue is set for release on November 15

Dan Mangan has announced that he’ll be releasing a deluxe reissue of 2009’s Nice, Nice, Very Nice in honour of the album’s 10th anniversary, and the new edition will feature previously unreleased material. As part of the announcement, Mangan has dropped “A Tragic Turn Of Events (2008 Demo).”

The deluxe edition double LP will feature a second album composed of previously unreleased material, b-sides, demos, and alternate versions from the original recording sessions. “I remember the months prior to recording this album were complicated,” Mangan pens in an essay about the album. “I’d cut ties with my manager and my relationship with my record label was uncertain.”

“I used to be so young,” Mangan continued. “How did I get so old?”
