Listen: David Bowie’s previously unreleased alternate version of ‘Stay’ featured on upcoming EP

'Is It Any Wonder?' is out April 18th

A previously unreleased reimagined version of David Bowie’s 1997 track “Stay” has dropped via Parlophone Records. “Stay ’97” is the third single off Bowie’s upcoming rarities EP, Is It Any Wonder?

“Stay” was first featured on Bowie’s 1976 album Station to Station. According to a press release, Bowie updated the rendition “Stay ’97” in Dublin during pre-rehearsals for his Earthling tour.

This is the third song off of Is It Any Wonder? following an acoustic version of “I Can’t Read,” also recorded during the Earthling sessions, and a version of “The Man Who Sold The World” from the ChangeNowBowie session. The final three tracks off the EP will be released over the next three weeks.
