Listen: Death Cab For Cutie Teases New Music

New music coming soon

Last month, Death Cab For Cutie confirmed they were closing in on the release of their ninth studio album.

Specifically, we know that their untitled next record is coming out sometime in August, with a new single happening sometime this month. Today the veteran alt-rockers shared a snippet of a new song via Twitter. The video teased at new music with the caption “Watch this space.”

The 30-second clip is dreamy slow-jam, accompanied by a video of a lake with a sky superimposed over top. “Heaven is a hole in the sky/ The stars are cracks in the ceiling of night/ And I just keep watching them for a sign/ That you’ll be alright,” Ben Gibbard sings. Listen below.
