Watch: Father John Misty debuts new track at Wildfire Benefit

He played the new tune solo with an acoustic guitar

Father John Misty’s musical silence may be ending, as Josh Tillman has started teasing new songs at live performances. Recently, Tillman performed a new track at his star-studded benefit show, which he hosted to raise money for victims of the California wildfires.

The show featured performances from Rivers Cuomo, Mac DeMarco, HAIM, Weyes Blood, Tim Heidecker, and more. When Tillman took to the stage, he played a new track on an acoustic guitar and although he didn’t say its title, the song frequently repeats the phrase “all God’s country” in the chorus.
