Frightened Rabbit is slowly releasing a tribute album titled Tiny Changes – A Celebration of The Midnight Organ Fight, which features different artists covering songs from Frightened Rabbit’s 2008 album The Midnight Organ Fight. Now, they have shared two tracks, which are two different covers of “My Backwards Walk,” by Manchester Orchestra, and Harkin and comedian Sarah Silverman.
The frontman of Frightened Rabbit Scott Hutchison had actually been involved in the tribute album before passing away last year. When the album was first announced, two covers of the opening track “The Modern Leper” by Julien Baker and Biffy Clyro were shared.
Artists that will be featured on the album include Ben Gibbard, Craig Finn, The Twilight Sad, and more. Proceeds from the album will go toward Tiny Changes, a mental health charity organization that was launched in May to honour and commemorate Scott Hutchison. This organization’s goal is to help raise awareness of mental health and to provide support for youths that are struggling with mental health issues.

The album was initially created to celebrate the 10-year anniversary/birthday of The Midnight Organ Fight. The band had come up with the idea of asking friends to record their own interpretations of their songs. Scott was a big part of this project, as he worked very hard to keep the project going and had listened and approved each track and started to prepare artwork as well. The Band had issued this statement “This is a celebration of a record that connected thousands of people to Scott and connected thousands of people to each other and ten years on it is still managing to do it.”
The album is set to release on July 12 through Canvasback Music and Atlantic.
