Listen: Fucked Up share sprawling new 26-minute track ‘Year Of The Horse – Act Two’

The second part of 'Year Of The Horse' is here

Toronto punk rockers Fucked Up are continuing their series of EPs devoted to the years of the Chinese Zodiac, and today we’ve gotten “Year Of The Horse – Act Two.”

The collection started back in 2006 with Year Of The Dog, and since then, Fucked Up have been releasing a slew of expansive singles, each based on years in the Chinese calendar. Year Of The Horse marks their first new Zodiac record since 2017’s Year Of The Snake.

In February, Fucked up dropped the 19-minute “Year Of The Horse – Act One,” but “Act Two” is even longer, clocking in at a whopping 26 minutes. The sprawling new tune is even more genre-bending and explorative than the first, as it weaves in and out of psychedelic metal, experimental blues, and eerie, haunting instrumentals. “Year Of The Horse – Act Two” is truly a trip, as Fucked Up add in layers and layers of textures, featuring everything from a trumpet to a vibraphone.
