Roots rock band Heartless Bastards have returned after six years with a long-awaited new single and an album announcement. “How Low,” their soulful and summery new track will be featured on their forthcoming record, A Beautiful Life, alongside “Revolution,” a single released back in July 2020.
Powered by the vocals and songwriting of Erika Wennerstrom, their new music is emotionally bold. Incorporating elements of blues, hard rock, garage punk and country, “How Low” begs for love, and asks humanity to lift each other up.
In a statement Wennerstrom said, “It’s becoming harder and harder to choose a simple life; so many people struggle to get ahead so they don’t get left behind. I believe that a truly elevated, conscious society is one that seeks to lift each other up—one where we work for the common good”.
