James Blake has just shared a new Assume Form bonus track called “Mulholland,” which was originally exclusive to the vinyl edition.
The piano-led track has a unique twist on the traditional ballad, with highly processed electronic vocals, as the tune slowly builds with a catchy, driven beat. As “Mulholland” progresses, it moves from a sparse, intimate track into a grittier, more quintessential Blake tune as the artist repeats the line, “They are just now understanding me.”
