Listen: Jónsi’s project Dark Morph releases single ‘Dark Wave,’ announces new EP ‘Dark Morph II’

'Dark Morph II' drops May 1st

Following the release of their debut self-titled album last May, the duo Dark Morph has announced their sophomore album Dark Morph II.

Dark Morph is made up by Icelandic Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi and Swedish composer and visual artist Carl Michael von Hausswolff. Their upcoming album features three tracks: the 20-minute opening track “Dive In,” “Humpback Whale Choir” and “Dark Wave.” Much like their first album, Dark Morph II used sounds from the ocean as an inspiration to provide a unique listening experience.

“The exploitation of the oceans, in conjunction with the heavy pollution (from plastic waste to nuclear radio-activity) has to stop, and be replaced by collaborative manners co-operating with all life on or globe,” the duo said in a statement.

Give “Dark Wave” a listen and check out the Dark Morph II tracklist below.
