Listen: Julien Baker, The National’s Matt Berninger, Stephan Altman collaborate on new track ‘All I Want’

The release is part of the '7-inches for Planned Parenthood' benefit series

Today, the second volume in Planned Parenthood’s 7-inches for Planned Parenthood benefit series has been released, and it features a new track called “All I Want” from The National’s Matt Berninger, Julien Baker, and composer Stephan Altman.

The trio debuted the stark, heartbreaking track during a recent Boygenius show, where they gave a live performance featuring dark, wallowing vocals and a powerful instrumental. The studio version of “All I Want” has been collected with a B-side of Hanif Abdurraqib performing his poem “Defiance, Ohio is the Name of a Band.”

Listen to “All I Want” and “Defiance, Ohio is the Name of a Band” below.

7-inches for Planned Parenthood is essentially an independently run record label devoted entirely to protecting sexual and reproductive rights,” Berninger explained in a statement. “Thanks to the huge community of people who helped launch Volume 1, we are very excited to launch Volume 2.”

The first entry of 7-inches for Planned Parenthood: Vol. 2 is available on digital and CD, and you can purchase it here. All proceeds go toward Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
