Lana Del Rey has released the audio version of her long awaited poetry collection Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass.
To celebrate its release, Del Rey shared “LA Who Am I to Love You,” which is set to original music by Jack Antonoff. The poem explores Del Rey’s love for the city, as she says lines like, “And also, I can’t sleep without you/ No one’s ever held me like you/ Not quite tightly.”
Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass is the first of two poetry projects Del Rey intends to release in 2020, the second being behind the iron gates – insights from an institution.
