Lido Pimienta has shared a cover for Spotify’s Pride campaign, “Pride 2021: Claim Your Space.”
Pimienta adds her own twist to Björk’s 2007 Volta track, “Declare Independence.” Pimienta brings her distinct sound to both tunes, with shimmering vocals and dance-worthy instrumentals.

In addition to the cover, Dua Saleh has shared an original song exclusively for the Spotify Pride campaign called “Macrodosing.” Saleh’s track is more down-tempo than Pimienta’s cover, as Saleh offers up throaty vocals atop atmospheric instrumentals.

Artists like Hayley Kiyoko, Claud, Kehlani, Princess Nokia, MUNA, and more will be contributing songs, videos, and playlists to the campaign.
Spotify’s campaign this year aims to “shine a spotlight on the wide range of extremely talented artists working towards positive change for our community through music and encouraging younger generations to live life as their truest selves, unafraid to embrace exactly who they are because they deserve it,” Kiyoko explains.
