Mitski has made her return with a new track called “The Baddy Man.”
The gritty country-influenced tune was created for the forthcoming soundtrack for writer Chris Miskiewicz and artist Vincent Kings’ graphic novel, This Is Where We Fall. The rollicking tune is driven by a jumpy bass line, as Mitski croons over top, exploring a new retro sound for the upcoming collection.
The This Is Where We Fall soundtrack and graphic novel are set for release on May 5th, and the soundtrack will be available on vinyl and cassette. Currently, there is not a plan to drop the soundtrack on streaming services, according to Pitchfork.
