Listen: New Finn Wolfhard-fronted band The Aubreys share jangly track ‘Loved One’

The Aubreys' debut EP 'Soda & Pie' is set for release on March 13

The Aubreys, made up of Finn Wolfhard and former Calpurnia bandmate Malcom Craif, have shared a new track called “Loved One.”

The guitar-driven tune sees Wolfhard and Craig singing about trying to make someone their loved one, delivering lines like, “Just tell me what is right/ ‘Cause I’ll follow you into the dark, into the night.” The jangly track is definitely a must-listen.

“I travel a lot, so Malcolm and I usually send Aubreys music back and forth by iMessage,” Wolfhard explains to Billboard. “For ‘Loved One’ we actually recorded in Malcolm’s basement and did the vocals in a friend’s attic in Vancouver. After we sent the tape to our buddy Andrew Humphrey in Chicago to mix, he added some keys and brought in our bubba Cadian Lake James from Twin Peaks for a gnarly solo near the end.”
