Regina Spektor has released a “Small Bill$”, in anticipation of her new album Remember Us To Life (2016).
This collection of songs are her latest effort after a four year hiatus, since starting a family. Her last album What We Saw From The Cheap Seats came out in 2012, and since then the only new material she’s released is the largely iconic theme song for a little-known show called Orange is The New Black.
The first single shared is called “Bleeding Heart.” Stereogum reports that this album features,”all new songs, mostly written during and after her pregnancy.”
“Small Bill$” sees the singer/songwriter returning to her signature sound, looping over drum tracks, creating a unique blend of rhythms.
Regina most recently covered the Beatles‘ “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” for the upcoming animated film Kubo and the Two Strings.
