Listen: Noel Gallagher releases new single ‘Black Star Dancing,’ announces forthcoming EP

The EP is set to drop on June 14

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have just announced their forthcoming EP, Black Star Dancing, and as part of the announcement, they’ve dropped the title track.

The track marks Gallagher’s first new music since 2017’s Who Built The Moon?, and Gallagher states that it combines “the influences of David Bowie, INXS, U2, Queen, Indeep and ZZ Top.” The disco-influenced bop has a bouncy guitar line with sparse chords laid atop as Gallagher croons lyrics like, “you make me shine like a black star dancing/ can’t remember your name now.”
