Texas rockers Spoon have shared covers of Tom Petty’s “Breakdown” and “A Face in the Crowd.”

Recorded live at the Catacomb in Austin, both tracks have been shared before, but have never gotten a wide digital release. “Breakdown” was initially shared as part of a virtual tribute concert called Tom Petty’s 70th Birthday Bash, while “A Face in the Crowd” was recorded for Jack Antonoff’s Ally Coalition Talent Show” last year.

Spoon’s cover of “Breakdown” revolves around the stunning electric guitar lines, as frontman Britt Daniels casually croons lines overtop. “A Face in the Crowd,” on the other hand, is a softer cover that highlights Daniels’ melancholic vocals, delivering lines like, “Into my heart, into my life/ And you were just a face in the crowd.”
