Listen: The 1975 drop new self-titled track with Swedish teen activist Greta Thunberg

'Notes On A Conditional Form' is set for release later this year

The 1975 have dropped a new track with Swedish teen climate change protester Greta Thunberg.

The self-titled tune serves as the lead song off of their forthcoming album, Notes On A Conditional Form, and it revolves around climate change, calling for societal and political reform. The song comes packed with Thunberg’s inspiring speech layered atop a sparse, atmospheric, piano-based instrumental line.

“We have to acknowledge that the older generations have failed,” Thunberg says in the song. “All political movements in their present form have failed. But homo sapiens have not yet failed. Yes, we are failing, but there is still time to turn everything around.”
