Listen: The Arcs Share New Song Inspired by ‘Making a Murderer’

Band shares "Lake Superior" written about Steven Avery

Looks like you weren’t the only one disturbed by the outcome of Netflix’s docu-series Making A Murderer.

After Dan Auerbach’s new found project, The Arcs finished the frustrating ten hour long series they wondered if there’s any way they could help the doomed case of Steven Avery. So they huddled in the studio “a few sleepless nights later,” and recorded this song to raise awareness and funds for The Innocence Project.

With lines like “the whole town’s got it out for you” and “the fat get fatter and the rich stay rich,” it’s pretty clear how strongly they feel about Avery’s innocence. The band shared this statement along with the track on their Soundcloud:

It’s like Billy Childish says, “We live in troubled times”. Last week, we got a sneak peek at what goes on behind the curtains of our criminal justice system. A few sleepless nights later we gathered in the studio and wrote this song. Written, recorded, mixed and mastered in 2 days.
