The Darcys have just dropped their anthemic new tune, “Better Days,” which sees the Toronto-based duo looking toward a brighter future amidst moments of failure.
The groovy, summery track revolves around a booming bass line, wailing guitar chords, a fuzzy synth line, and dynamic vocals as singer Jason Couse sings lines like, “I know it’s hard and you feel like running/ But I’ve seen better days and I know they’re coming.” The new track explores “redemption and past failure,” drummer Wes Marskell explains to Billboard. “We hope this song encourages people to keep their heads up, to stay optimistic and to take care of themselves,” Couse explains to Billboard as well.
Listen to “Better Days” and look forward to that bright summer sun below.
The Darcys’ forthcoming album is set to arrive later this year.
