Hamilton’s The Dirty Nil are set to release Master Volume on September 14 via Dine Alone Records. The trio previously rolled out “Bathed in Light” to whet our collective appetite for the forthcoming record. Today, they’ve shared another new track, “Pain of Infinity.”
“My favorite songs always come together the fastest, without any premeditation or intent,” frontman Luke Bentham told AltPress about the single. “When you open up your mouth and yell along to a slashing guitar, and something so stupid that it’s special comes out. Top-grade catharsis with a saccharine coating; this is the feeling I live for.”
“Pain of Infinity” has quickly become a fan-favourite on tour, despite its release just coming today.
“For the last year, every show we’ve played has been peppered with requests for this song,” Bentham said. “Considering that we have not released it in any form prior to today, that’s been nice. However, we’re very happy to give the kids what they want. Children of the world: crank it up and cheers.”
The Dirty Nil also announced new tour dates, which include a stop at The Opera House on Sunday, December 1.
