Listen: The Hives make their return with new track ‘I’m Alive’

The track is set to feature a double A-side 7-inch release

Swedish garage-rockers The Hives are back with their first new track in four years, “I’m Alive.”

The track was produced by Barkmarket’s Dave Sardy, and is set to feature a double A-side 7-inch release through Jack White’s Third Man Records this summer. “I’m Alive” is a raucous, gritty rock anthem revolving around a consuming electric guitar line, pounding drums, and dynamic vocals as frontman Pelle Almqvist belts lines like, “Did you miss me baby?/ Here I am.”

“‘I’m Alive’ is a song about crawling up from under a rock and obliterating all resistance that sounds like crawling up from under a rock and obliterating all resistance because it is a band crawling up from under a rock and obliterating all resistance,” Almqvist explains in a statement.. “Use it in your own life to help you obliterate your own resistance!”
