Listen: The Strokes share new track ‘Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus’

'The New Abnormal' is set for release on April 10

While gearing up for the release of The New Abnormal, The Strokes have shared another new single called “Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus.”

Like previously released tracks “At The Door” and “Bad Decisions,” this new tune sees The Strokes exploring new sonic territory, this time taking a deep dive into ’80s synth pop. The song revolves around a jumpy keyboard line that feels more reminiscent of frontman Julian Casablancas’ band The Voidz. “Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus” lyrically explores the conflict between keeping a social life and staying at home, as Casablancas delivers lines like, “I want new friends, but they don’t want me/ They’re making plans while I watch TV/ Thought it was you, but maybe it’s me/ I want new friends but they don’t want me.”
