Toronto’s The Weather Station are gearing up to release a self-titled album on October 6 via Outside Music. The band has recently shared the audio video for the album’s lead single, entitled “Thirty.”
The highlight of “Thirty” is lead singer Tamara Lindeman’s visceral vocals that reflect an honesty and rawness reminiscent of prominent women in Canadian rock. “Thirty” is a song described as being about “joy at the precipice of despair.”
“I wanted to make a rock and roll record,” said Lindeman, “but one that sounded how I wanted it to sound, which of course is nothing like rock and roll.”

The Weather Station will be visiting Toronto on November 24 at The Great Hall. Click here for more fall tour dates and ticket info.
