San Francisco-based band Third Eye Blind’s 1997 self-titled debut will remain a staple on the airwaves until someone trudges across the earth and melts every physical and digital copy of the album. It’s catchy as hell.
The band has enjoyed a renaissance of sorts, landing spots on several festivals in recent years and playing to audiences whose parents probably made mixtapes in the 90s featuring the hits “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Graduate,” “How’s It Going to Be,” “Losing a Whole Year,” and “Jumper.” In their latest turn, Third Eye Blind have released an EP of covers, Thanks For Everything, where they put their own spin on songs by Queens of the Stone Age, Bon Iver, Chastity Belt, babyshambles, and others.
