Listen: Tough Age share new track ‘Repose,’ announce forthcoming album ‘Which Way Am I?’

'Which Way Am I?' is set for release on August 7

Toronto-based outfit Tough Age have announced their forthcoming album Which Way Am I?, which is set for release on August 7th, and as part of the announcement they’ve shared a new single called “Repose.”

The new album is set to see Tough Age heading into new sonic territories, with dreamy guitars and unique instrumentation featuring flutes, synths, and organs. “There’s nothing more boring to me than when you hear a band and can tell they only listen to the one type of music they make,” the band’s Jarrett Samson explains of their changing sound. “A band that stands still might as well not exist.”

The new track shows that evolving sound perfectly. With gritty, driven guitar lines and eerily dreamy vocals, “Repose” feels like the perfect balance between a punk anthem and a dream pop track.
