Last night the St. Louis Blues won their first ever Stanley Cup against the Boston Bruins, and Vampire Weekend and Phish performed Laura Branigan’s “Gloria” to celebrate.

“Gloria” became an anthem for the team after a couple of the players spent a night at a bar in Philadelphia, where the DJ kept on playing the tune. The started to ask the arenas to play the song after their victories, and staying true to their new found anthem, played the song after their championship win. While the Blues won in Boston, Vampire Weekend and Phish, who happened to be playing in St. Louis, played “Gloria” as soon as they heard the news.
