Folk-punk band Violent Femmes’ 25-year-old song “I’m Nothing” is far from new, but the band has re-recorded the tune with skateboarder and long-time Nike partner, Stefan Janoski. The tune will be tied to a new shoe release from Janoski’s famed SB line, and will feature his vocals in the song.
The Violent Femmes were inspired to re-work the song after Janoski reached out to them with the idea for themed Violent Femmes Nike sneakers. The shoes will feature the words “I’m Nothing” on the tongue in Janoski’s handwriting and stitched words “Violent” and “Femmes” on the left and right side of the sneakers.
The new rendition has taken a more aggressive tone thanks to Janoski’s vocals, and is overall very hard punk. Check out the track below!
