Listen: Yo La Tengo reveal new track ‘Bleeding’

'Sleepless Night' is set for release on October 9

Following the release of their recent EP We Have Amnesia Sometimes, Yo La Tengo announced another new EP called Sleepless Night, which drops on October 9th. Today, the indie rock giants have shared a new track called “Bleeding.”

The forthcoming EP was conceived for use in Yoshitomo Nara’s LACMA exhibition last year, and it is primarily a covers record that sees Yo La Tengo adding their own twist to songs from Bob Dylan, the Byrds, the Flying Machine, the Delmore Brothers, and Ronnie Lane. The only original song on the EP, “Bleeding,” was released today, and it is a sparse, moody ballad with whispered vocal lines.
