Lizzo has become a figurehead in the body positivity movement, due to the star speaking openly and confidently about her body. Now, Lizzo explains that she is tired of talking about her body. She wants to celebrated for her music and does not want to be seen as “brave” for doing so. “I am so much more than that. Because I actually present that, I have a whole career, it’s not a trend.”
The artist then briefly spoke about her experiences with coming to terms with her body and embracing it, and in doing so, it has become the focus of a lot of attention on her. “I’ve come to terms with body dysmorphia and evolved,” Lizzo reveals. “The body-positive movement is doing the same thing. We’re growing together, and it’s growing pains, but I’m just glad that I’m attached to something so organic and alive.”
