Local Natives release new covers EP ‘Music From The Pen Gala 1983’ for new series ‘The Shrink Next Door’

Local Natives have shared a new covers EP, Music From The Pen Gala 1983.

All of the covers from the collection come from the new Apple Original Series, The Shrink Next Door. The show stars Paul Rudd as Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf and Will Ferrell as Martin “Marty” Markowitz..

Local Natives take their signature harmonies and make them sound like they belong in the 1980s. The band actually performs three ’80s covers in character at the Pen Gala on the show. Now, those three tracks alongside another that they recorded for the show has been compiled under Music From The Pen Gala 1983. The collection features covers of Roxy Music, Gerry Rafferty, Michael McDonald, and 10cc.
