Veteran alternative rockers Weezer hit pay-dirt last year when they finally released a cover of Toto’s “Africa” at the urging of fans online. It appears Rivers Cuomo and Co. are nearing completion of their transition into a wedding band.
Weezer unveiled a covers album, titled The Teal Album, late Wednesday night. The album arrives ahead of the band’s next formal LP, The Black Album, and sees the group serving up covers of Tears For Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” Eurythymics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” A-ha’s “Take On Me.”

The Black Album comes out on March 1.
