Indie88 Premiere: Low Joy Ceiling Announce New EP, Share First Single

Saskatchewan outfit unveil new track 'It's My Party (I'm Not Going To Cry This Year)'

Saskatchewan indie rockers Low Joy Ceiling are keeping busy, with their new EP, Homemade Fireworks, set to arrive on January 26, 2017. It marks the band’s third release in less than a year, and today Indie88 is please to premiere the first single, “It’s My Party (I’m Not Going To Cry This Year),” from the forthcoming record.

Low Joy Ceiling is made up of members of Rah Rah, Library Voices, and Karpinka Brothers. They craft “economical and thoughtful rock songs,” in the vein of Guided By Voices and The Replacements. Homemade Fireworks is their first record to feature guitarist Rob Morrison, who’s previously lent his production skills to bands such as Close Talker and Rah Rah.
