‘Luke Cage’ canceled amidst Netflix’s Marvel Roster Trim

Following the axing of Iron Fist

Netflix has canceled its second Marvel show in one week, wrapping up Luke Cage after two seasons.

The cancellation comes just seven days after the announced cancellation of Iron Fist. Both of the shows were part of the original six-piece of Netflix shows, and the first of the five, Daredevil, began its third season on Friday.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cancellation was due to creative differences between Netflix and Marvel, who were unable to come to an agreement to terms for a third season.

There are now only four Marvel shows left on the Netflix roster: Daredevil, Jessica Jones (which was renewed for a third season), The Defenders, and The Punisher.
