Mac DeMarco Announces Solo Tour & New Record Label

His Record Label Is Called "Mac's Record Label"

Yes, you read that right. Mac Demarco has shared with the world his plans to launch his very own record label, entitled Mac’s Record Label. “My friend Jen who plays drums in The Courtneys gave me the name,” mentioned Mac in a press release.The new label will be distributed through Universal Music Group’s Caroline, up until his new label, Mac has always released music via Captured Tracks.

In other news, Mac has also announced his first ever solo tour, “Purple Bobcat Next to River Tour.” The new dates begin right after his U.S and European shows this fall. The tour is set to kick off in California at Tropicalia Fest in early November. For every show, Mac has partnered with PLUS1 to dedicate a dollar of every ticket sale to benefit local Girls Rock Camps. Go Mac go!
