Macaulay Culkin is pretty well known for ridiculous ideas, from pizza-themed Velvet Underground covers to refusing to watch Home Alone. Now, he’s changing his middle name to his own name. Say hello to Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.
Last month, the lovable weirdo and child actor announced on his blog that he was in the process of looking for a new middle name. “My middle name is something dumb,” Culkin wrote. “Larry? Orange? Honestly, I can’t even remember it. So I asked you all to send in some better options so I can go down to the court house and explain to a judge why I need to change my middle name to something cool.”
Merry Christmas to me, from all of you!
My new middle name has been chosen. You voted and the winner is clear.
In 2019 my new legal name will be:
Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.
It has a nice ring to it (if you like my name).#MerryChristmas

In traditional Macaulay Culkin fashion, he launched a poll asking his fans what he should change his name to, listing options like “Shark Week,” “Kieran,” “TheMcRibIsBack,” “Publicity Stunt,” and “Macaulay Culkin.”
Macaulay Culkin won by a landslide, ringing in at 60,990 votes, smoking the second place winner, “TheMCRibIsBack,” which rung in at only 14,558 votes.
