In an interview with New York Daily News, Madonna made a bold claim: “Kanye is the black Madonna,” she said.
“We know, and recognise, that we have that in common. We’re comrades in the envelope-pushing genre,” she continued.
All of this came after Madonna said some other really weird stuff about Kanye:
“He’s a brilliant madman. He can’t help himself. Like, he doesn’t have the same filters other people have. He has to blurt things out – he’s always saying inappropriate stuff. But he also has brilliant ideas… I feel like the music business needs him, because everyone’s become so politically correct, so safe. I don’t always agree with the things he says or does – I don’t always like his music, even. But he’s a beautiful mess. I love him.”
In musical news, the 56-year old pop legend recently told the press that she wrote a song that will appear on West’s new album, So Help Me God. Her collaboration with West already saw the rapper/black Madonna produce four songs for her new album Rebel Heart.
“He ended up only working on four songs, and then we wrote another song together, which is going to be on his record,” she said.
In other Kanye news, we’re all used West’s name being synonymous with shade-throwing in the media. (right, Beck?) But, for once, Kanye is on the receiving end of some “he has no talent” claims.
David Crosby recently did a Twitter Q & A, and was asked by a fan about what he thought of West’s artistry and his impact as a musician. His answer, though, seemed to tear a page right out of Kanye’s book:

In another seemingly Kanye-inspired move, Crosby took to his Twitter yet again to re-affirm his hatred for Yeezus:
oh …and I still think Kanye is an idiot

We can’t wait to see if/how Kanye will respond to a taste of his own medicine.
