Matthew Good is set to hit the road with a 28-date Canadian tour in support of his new EP, titled I Miss New Wave: Beautiful Midnight Revisited. The five-song EP will feature new versions of tracks from his iconic 1999 release Beautiful Midnight.
Good went into Bathouse Recording Studio to record new versions of “Suburbia,” “I Miss New Wave,” “Load Me Up,” “Let’s Get It On,” and “Born to Kill.” The upcoming tour, which kicks off February 11 in Victoria, British Columbia, will see Good perform “Beautiful Midnight” in its entirety.
“I’ve waited almost 20 years to re-imagine these songs in the studio; I think I may have actually bettered what some consider my best work,” Good said in a release.
Fans who purchase a ticket for one of the performances will receive a digital copy of the new EP, which drops December 2. Oh, there’s much more in store for fans, too. VIP packages will also be available in some markets, with a chance attend a sound check performance, have front of the line entry to the venue, a photo opportunity with Good, and more. Tickets go on sale November 18.
