Metal dude who tried to swim back to Toronto Slayer concert gets beer can tribute

Canadian metal heritage moment immortalized on Budweiser can

One of 2018’s most metal stories centred around Oshawa man Chris LaRocque, who got kicked out of Slayer’s farewell tour stop at Budweiser Stage in Toronto last June and attempted to swim back to the concert grounds. It appears the King of Beers took note of LaRocque’s dedication to metal and iconized him on a commemorative beer can.

The commemorative tin pays tribute to the venue’s 25-year history, Exclaim! reports. It features references to 25 artists or scenes from Budweiser Stage since it opened in 1995 as Molson Amphitheatre. LaRocque’s iconic swim while sporting an Anthrax t-shirt appears on the can alongside nods to Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Van Halen, to name a few.

Check out LaRocque’s Facebook post below, and for the love of the metal gods can we get this guy some free beer!

So, I guess I made it on a beer can lable. 🍻🤣🍺.
I wonder if I can get free beer?

It reminds me of the Archie and Jughead style. 👍
