Metallica have shared their epic benefit covers album, The Metallica Blacklist.
The new record comes as part of a celebration of the 30th anniversary of their self-titled “Black Album.” The Blacklist is a tribute album of covers that features tracks from a whopping 53 different artists. So far, we’ve already gotten covers from artists like Weezer, St. Vincent, Kamasi Washington, Phoebe Bridgers, Rina Sawayama, IDLES, and more.
Now, we’ve gotten even more Metallica covers. These unheard renditions come from renowned acts like Mac DeMarco, PUP, Moses Sumney, Cage The Elephant, Cherry Glazzerr, and many more.

Blacklist sees a bunch of artists delivering their own renditions of tracks from The Black Album, including St. Vincent covering “Sad But True;” PUP performing “Holier Than Thou;” Moses Sumney playing “The Unforgiven;” Phoebe Bridgers, My Morning Jacket, and Mickey Guyton each sharing respective covers of “Nothing Else Matters;” Mac Demarco, Rina Sawayama, and Weezer all sharing renditions of “Enter Sandman;” and more.
The album comes as part of a deluxe box set for The Black Album. It features a 2xLP, a picture disc, three live LPS, 14 CDs, six DVDs, a hardcover book, and more.
