Metric, Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Headline Field Trip 2018

Alvvays, Bahamas, Charlotte Cardin, Japandroids, and many more to play Fort York festival

Field Trip has unveiled the lineup for its 2018 music festival set for Historic Fort York and Garrison Common on June 2 and June 3. Local indie icons Metric and New York garage rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs will headline Toronto’s downtown festival, with Alvvays, Bahamas, Dizzy, and Japandroids also on the bill.

It’s shaping up to be one of this summer’s premiere music weekends with a wide-range of artists set to perform. Others announced today include Allan Rayman, The Barr Brothers, Charlotte Cardin, Deer Tick, Jacob Banks, Noname, and Partner, to name a few. Check out the complete lineup below.

Field Trip is entering its sixth year. The festival will once again take place on the grounds at Historic Fort York and the Garrison Common on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3.

“Field Trip promises something for all of us. We challenge ourselves to improve the diversity and creativity of our offerings every year, but our deep connections to the City of Toronto and its creative communities remain unchanged,” said Field Trip Producer Aaron Miller.

“Fort York is an amazingly intimate site – the ability to stage an event like this in the heart of one of North America’s best and biggest cities makes Field Trip a weekend event unlike any other.”

Once again, kids 12 and under can attend for free. Family programming, food vendors, and comedy programming will be announced in the coming weeks.
