More than 70 artists and labels are offering special releases, donations for Bandcamp’s Juneteenth fundraiser

The annual holiday that celebrates the end of slavery

Today, Bandcamp has pledged to donate 100% of their share of sales to the NAACP Legal Defence Fund in honour of Juneteenth, the annual holiday that celebrates the end of slavery.

The NAACP Legal Defense And is “America’s premier legal organization fighting for racial justice,” and Bandcamp has announced they’ll be donating their shares every Juneteenth in the future as well. Additionally, several artists and labels have offered up their own donations or exclusive releases for today’s fundraiser.

Some of the special releases include Sonic Youth’s Perspectives Musicales – Live at Cat’s Cradle 2000, Björk’s entire catalog, TV On The Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe’s “PEOPLE,” any of Wilco or Jeff Tweedy’s songs, anything from 4AD, and more.
