My Chemical Romance return with first new song in 8 years ‘The Foundations of Decay’

My Chemical Romance have returned with their first new music in eight years, “The Foundations of Decay.”

The track marks the first new My Chemical Romance track since 2014’s “Fake Your Death.” “The Foundations of Decay” is a pretty huge six-minute epic. The track opens with some ominous lyrics, as frontman Gerard Way delivers lines like, “See the man who stands upon the hill, he dreams of all the battles won/ but fate had left its scars upon his face, with all the damage they had done.”

On the track, My Chemical Romance lean into their darker side, while staying true to their quintessential anthemic sound.
