Netflix and Jerry Media reportedly getting sued over ‘Fyre’ Footage

Their getting sued for $150,000

The curse of Fyre Festival lingers on, as Netflix and producers Jerry Media are getting sued over their viral documentary, FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened.

According to TMZ, footage of the festival from Clarissa Cardenas made its way into the film without her permission, and according to Cardenas’ legal documents, she had registered her video with the U.S. Copyright Office. As a result, she is now suing the streaming service and Jerry Media for copyright infringement.

She’s asking for a compensation of $150,000 USD in damages, or a cut of the documentary’s profits.
