Netflix Canada has raised its monthly subscription prices by a dollar. This new cost will be applied to all subscriptions moving forward. Existing members will be notified by email over the next few weeks as their subscription price is raised.
As a result of this price raise, Netflix’s standard plan now costs $10.99 per month, while the basic plan has been raised to $8.99 per month. Premium plan subscribers will pay $2 more at $13.99 monthly.
“From time to time, Netflix plans and pricing are adjusted as we add more exclusive TV shows and movies, introduce new product features and improve the overall Netflix experience, to help members find something great to watch even faster,” the company said in a statement.
The price change currently only impacts Canadian subscribers.
