Netflix, Dave Chappelle team up for three comedy specials

Comedian's first stand-up special in 12 years set to hit streaming service

If it’s more Dave Chappelle that you seek, then Netflix has your hookup on the way.

The streaming service has tabbed Chappelle for three comedy specials on the heels of his return to the public eye after hosting Saturday Night Live on November 12. Chappelle last delivered a stand-up special in 2004 with For What It’s Worth.

“Dave Chappelle is a legendary voice in comedy — searing, vital, and now more than ever, essential,” said Lisa Nishimura, Netflix’s VP of original documentary and comedy said (via Variety). “Dave’s three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy.”

Two of the specials will be out of Chappelle’s own vault, while Netflix and the comedian will also release an original special with director Stan Lathan.
