Netflix has shared a trailer for the highly anticipated Stranger Things season 4.
The new season of the beloved supernatural Netflix series is finally on the way. Stranger Things season 3 premiered back in 2019, and it ended with Joyce Byers, Eleven, Jonathan, and Will leaving Hawkins, Indiana to start fresh in California. In today’s trailer for Stranger Things season 4, it’s pretty clear that they’ve not yet escaped the dangers of the Upside Down. In fact, Dr Owens even gets the kids to join in on an upcoming war. They then appear to willingly head to the Upside Down to find a new supernatural force.
“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins,” a press release explains of the forthcoming season. “Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

The first half of Stranger Things season 4 premieres on May 27th, with the second following later on July 1st.
Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer recently confirmed that the fifth season of the show will be its final one.
