DFA 1979 has given us snippets of information about the release of their upcoming album The Physical World. We already know the title of the album, but now we have information about the track listing, cover-art AND the album’s first single!

The first single off the album is called “Trainwreck 1979” and it does not disappoint. You can listen to the full song and watch the lyric video down below.

The Physical World is produced by D. Sardy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, Wolfmother, Oasis), and comes a full ten years after the release of the band’s universally acclaimed debut album, You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine. The band split in 2006 and reunited in 2011 to perform live and the duo began writing tracks which, essentially led to the making of a new album.
